Heaven Sent 2nd Chance Transitional Safehouse, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization first step resource center for returning citizens seeking accurate information, qualified professional counseling, peer mentoring and family support services as well as workforce development training. We strive to empower our returning citizens' clients in their transition from institutional dependence to societal self-sufficiency.
At HS2CT.org we believe that an individual’s successful return to society with the goal of never returning to prison is influenced by a complex set of dynamics interwoven into the fabric of the former offender, the community, and the legal system. Our mission is to measurably decrease the recidivism rate for returning citizens. We believe putting the prison industrial complex out of business begins with accurate actionable information, sustains with support from family and community. Ultimately endures with the interpersonal growth and cognitive development of the returning citizen.
